Culture Centre

You are standing in front of a very unusual building. It is located on the south end of the town centre at a gateway between the settled area and the natural landscape.

On the lower level, made of concrete, is the Fire Station which faces the main street.  A row of windows that wrap around the building, separates the Fire Station from the upper level which houses the Culture Centre and the Women‘s museum and which was built entirely from Silver Fir.  This building has become an example in regards to using Silver Fir as a building material.
